Sustainable parenting

RIIt is difficult to explain what it is to be a father. It is probable easier to describe which elements could be used to represent a good father, and what things a good father remember to do.

A good father

A good father should:

- enjoy life with children
- listen to his children with all his attention
- be positive
- give them freedom with responsability
- be present and visible. Look at them in her eyes and feel the love they confess to you and the love you confere to them
- cuddle them many times a day and kiss them a lot
- say I love you, a lot
- love your partner infinetely all the time
- teach them what you know
- give them examples by living as a good person
- respect them
- understand them provide logic reasons
- make them deserve gift and presents
- teach them how to do things and create natural value, for example by planting a tree or by selling lemonade
- teach them to draw and do things with their hands
- teach them to throw things, specially balls
- teach them to defend themselves properly
- tell them silly funny jokes, make them laugh and laugh with them, a lot
- cook a meal with them and make them cook with you
- walk with them, leave the car and take a quiet stroll in a park in the way to school. Dont take the shortcut
- play with them, everyday
- learn from them, you were like them not so long ago
- recognise you are wrong when you are
- dedicate quality one on one time with each of your children, listen to them
- tell them simple stories, invented by yourselve with clear learnings
- read them stories, reading them slowly and teathrically
- get out to nature with them
- tell them basic scientific facts they will love like why the sky is blue, why the leaves are green, why the sun is yellow and why the moon appears at night, why the river flows down, how the clouds form and how the water from the clouds return to the ocean
- teach them to ride the bicycle, to jump far and up by raising their hands, show them how to dive with the hands and head first
- show them while un nature that there is a balance in life, and that balance is key in life
